About Simon Copeland

Simon Copeland is a Couture Dress Designer based in London. From his studio in Battersea, he caters for all events designing privately with individual clients, alongside two Collections each year.

Simon Copeland's creative journey began as a young boy with a deep fascination with how things were put together. He would try any kind of craft discipline to discover the possibilities that were available - he painted, sketched, carved wood, and even tried his hand at the potter's wheel. Sometimes these processes were more successful than others - his foray into hairdressing at the age of 4 when he decided his sister's dolls not only needed a new dress, but also a restyle of their hair went down like a lead balloon, and cut short what in his mind was a very promising career.

In 1993, Simon launched his first catwalk show by kind permission of a supportive client who allowed her Belgravia home to firstly be taken over by make - up artists, dressers and models, and then as many of his clients as could fit into the different floors of her beautiful house. He began showing annually, and always catered for The Season. In 1999, he opened his first shop in Battersea's Queenstown Road from where he is still based, now through a private studio.
